2026-2027 Executive Board
President - Jennifer Collins is returning as our PTA President after previously volunteering in several committee chair roles and as a Room Parent. She enjoys bringing families together and creating fun, meaningful experiences that make Sycolin Creek a wonderful place for our students.
Jennifer and her husband, Matt, have a daughter who is a rising fourth grader, and they have called Leesburg home since 2020. Outside of PTA, Jennifer works as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley.
Vice President -Karen Jones is returning as our PTA Vice President this school year! She enjoys being involved in our school community and helping create meaningful experiences for our students and families.
Karen and her husband, Ryan, have three children: a rising ninth grader, a rising seventh grader, and a rising fourth grader. Their family also includes their dog, Piper, and cat, Luna, and they are proud members of the Sycolin Creek community.
Karen earned her Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and works as a Project Lead at MITRE Corporation.
Michael has called Leesburg home since 2005 and has two sons, a rising third grader and a rising first grader. Outside of PTA, Michael works as a Statistician with the U.S. Department of Education.
Secretary - Erika Sovey is excited to serve as the PTA Secretary this year.
As a proud school mom who works in early childhood education, she believes that strong connections between families, teachers, and staff help create a supportive and enriching environment for every child.
She looks forward to working alongside the PTA Board to help make it a fun and successful year for our school community.
